The idea behind a wish bracelet is that the wearer makes a wish while tying it on. As the bracelet is worn over time, it gradually wears down and eventually breaks. When the bracelet breaks, it is believed the wish comes true.
A wish bracelet represents hope, dreams, and positive intentions for the future. The simplicity of the bracelet is part of its charm, emphasising the power of the wish and the personal significance it holds for the wearer.
The bracelets use eco friendly and biodegradable black hemp cord with a 6 mm round black bead and white cord with a heart charm. The hemp cord is 1mm thick and approximately 30 cm in length. Once tied on your wrist any excess cord can be cut off. The bracelets are then presented on recycled card about half the size of a postcard (A7 size 74 mm x 105 mm) and enclosed in a clear cellophane pouch.
All our bracelets are handmade and our cards are designed and printed in our studio in Sanquhar, south west Scotland.
